We offer a wide selection of fly tying materials such as:
- Egg-it—This egg yarn sets the industry standard for tying egg flies. Wound on a narrow core with extremely fine fibers, Egg-it is much easier to wrap around the hook. When wet, Egg-it has the feeling of cotton wool, almost slushy. When fished it creates a halo effect on its outer edges.
- Mop Roll—This material gives added dimension to the Mop Fly. With its double-bonded core, Mop Roll’s closely woven to resemble the traditional mop material with a greater range of colors. Some colors are also available with a ‘UV’ or ‘pearlescent additive’ and we also offer a small range of bi-color versions. Mop Roll can also be used as a chenille for flies such as the Woolly Bugger.
- PULSE—This material contains extremely fine synthetic blob fiber material. The benefit of PULSE when fished is that it does as the name suggests, it pulses when retrieved in the water. The unique movement has picked up fish steadily when normal Fritz has failed. It creates a unique teardrop profile in the water. PULSE helped the Welsh Ladies Team to gold in Lough Style International at Llyn Clywedog in July 2018 when the material was tied into a booby fondly named ‘Lady Gaga’. PULSE is available as a hanked fiber and a fine core blob in both 20mm and 30mm. Available in UV and multi-color variants.
